The history of the famous Casa Vinicola Zonin, which began almost two centuries ago in Gambellara (Vicenza), made a stop in Puglia in 2000 with the acquisition of an ancient old farm and beautiful land that surrounds it.
After a first phase of investment in the land, the winery commissioned Edilizia Interna to restructure the farm and build a new and innovative wine cellar in 2011. The cellar was designed with full respect for the surrounding environment.
To maintain the charm of the past, the architectural work focused on the recovery of the ancient living units and warehouses dedicated to agricultural activities.
With respect to the local environment, new structures were restored using local chianche, carparo, tufa and white stone. Similarly, to give the exterior of the winery a typical Puglian style, marble dust plaster string courses were provided.
